Dr Bosworth starts paper on changes in rural population
Our School’s Dr Gary Bosworth (pictured) recently visited Groningen, a municipality in the Netherlands. He has started a new paper with Prof/Dr Tialda Haartsen of the University of Groningen on “The challenges of rural out-migration and depopulation: Evidence from England and the Netherlands”.
During his stay, Dr Bosworth also visited the Friesland village of Jorwert and said: “The visit really brought home how economic and cultural changes are re-shaping rural places.”
You can read his personal blog post about his visit online.
